Tera Collection

 Craft, Color, and Quality

Tera is a Made in Italy ceramic collection crafted from coloured refractory clays, selected for their durability and shaped by hand in metal molds. This carefully controlled process creates subtle formal variations, giving each piece a unique and authentic character.

Tera is a ceramic collection made in Italy that highlights material quality and artisanal precision. The project is based on the use of coloured refractory clays, selected for their thermal and mechanical resistance and processed while still in a plastic state.

The clay body is manually placed into metal molds through a simple yet highly controlled process, introducing slight formal variations and giving each element a distinctly material character.

How is Tera’s colour created?

A central feature of the collection is through-body colouring. Unlike a surface glaze, the pigment is integrated directly into the wet clay, allowing the colour to permeate the entire thickness of the material.
This process generates subtle, non-repeatable tonal variations and simultaneously contributes to the closure of micro-porosities, reducing absorption, improving waterproofing and increasing the product’s durability, making it suitable for intensive use.

What are its main characteristics?

The matt finish enhances the authentic nature of the material, creating a dry, compact, low-reflective surface that is ideal for high-quality ceramic tile flooring and sophisticated ceramic tiles for bathroom solutions.
This finish ensures visual continuity while maintaining excellent technical reliability, making it perfect for both residential and commercial spaces. Thanks to its advanced structure, Tera performs exceptionally well as ceramic tile flooring for indoor and outdoor environments, on both floors and vertical surfaces, significantly expanding its architectural and design versatility.

Why do Laguna tiles look different?

As handcrafted extruded products, the elements of the Venezia collection may show slight dimensional differences, tonal variations and minor irregularities.
These characteristics are not imperfections but expressive signs of their artisanal identity, enhancing the authentic and material quality of the collection.

Which colours define the palette?

The chromatic range includes five tones inspired by mineral elements: Calce, Ferro, Jade, Lava and Pumice.Calce offers a light and neutral shade, ideal for bright environments; Ferro introduces a more technical, industrial nuance; Jade provides a balanced, desaturated green designed for contemporary spaces; Lava recalls the density of volcanic surfaces; Pumice occupies an intermediate tone, with a visually porous appearance yet compact performance.
The palette is designed to interact with materials such as concrete, stone, wood and oxidised metals, supporting versatile compositions.

What format is available?

The format of the collection is: 10 ⅝" × 2 ⅛" × ½", a dimension designed to ensure modularity, installation precision and compositional flexibility for both horizontal and vertical applications.

Tera is a ceramic collection in which process, colour and material converge into a reliable and long-lasting system. A product designed to meet the demands of contemporary architecture through technical rigour and formal coherence, ensuring performance, identity and continuity over time.

FAQs

Can I use ceramic tiles in my bathroom?

Yes. Ceramic tiles are ideal for bathrooms thanks to their low water absorption, resistance to moisture and hygienic surface, making them perfect for floors, walls and shower areas.

What are the benefits of high-quality ceramic tiles?

High-quality ceramic tiles offer better durability, lower porosity, more consistent colour and enhanced resistance to wear, stains and moisture, ensuring longer-lasting performance.

What’s the difference between ceramic tile, recycled stone, and terrazzo?

The main difference comes down to how the materials are made, how they perform, and how they look. Ceramic tiles are created from fired natural clays and are appreciated for their durability, versatility in design, and ease of maintenance. Recycled stone blends crushed stone with binding agents, offering a more sustainable option with a textured and decorative appearance. Terrazzo, on the other hand, is made from stone or marble chips set in cement or resin and stands out for its distinctive visual character, long-lasting durability, and refined, high-end finish.
