From the sustainably sourced softwood and hardwood core layers from Western Europe to the meticulous bonding techniques, every element reflects our deep respect for nature. Our commitment to ethical sourcing and ecological responsibility is embedded in the soul of every Decker plank.
We use oak veneers sourced from trusted local sawmills. Our system planks and sample parquets are crafted from Rhön and Spessart oak, processed entirely within the Rhön region. For our Classic and Chalet collections, we use 100% PEFC-certified French oak, reflecting our dedication to responsible forestry.
A high-quality hardwood backing layer — equal in thickness to the oak toplayer — ensures flatness and balance, even in changing climates. Between these layers, a flexible Spruce fingercore absorbs internal tensions, creating structural harmony and resistance over time.
Each plank is engineered using three layers of solid wood, bonded crosswise with eco-friendly white PVA adhesives. This precise configuration significantly reduces natural movement such as shrinkage, expansion, or warping, ensuring long-term dimensional stability and surface integrity.
