Manhattan Penthouse: an urban retreat where wood flooring unites contemporary design and everyday comfort.
July 3, 2025
Return to a contemporary classic: the Sumo hardwood.
To launch our series of featured projects, we're digging into the archives to revisit one of the coziest and most contemporary condos we’ve ever completed. A true urban retreat where design meets daily comfort.
This apartment is a perfect example of how good wood flooring can transform a space: making it feel more unified, alive, and livable. The entire project was finished with our engineered hardwood Sumo, chosen to flow seamlessly throughout the home with natural elegance and material coherence.
A floor that connects.
People often underestimate how much flooring shapes the feeling of a home. In this case, Sumo acts as the connective tissue of the interior: it wraps through every room, creating a visual flow that feels warm and uninterrupted. Its balanced tone, neither too light nor overly saturated, harmonizes beautifully with contemporary furnishings, enhancing natural light and complementing the other materials in the space.
Modern Comfort, Authentic Character.
The result is a space that feels both sophisticated and welcoming: relaxing without being plain. The floor’s lightly brushed texture adds a tactile richness underfoot, while the oil finish brings out the natural grain of the wood, allowing the material to breathe. It’s a rare balance of beauty and practicality, designed to endure and improve with age.
A Home that feels like Home.
In a market often driven by haste and trend-chasing, this apartment tells a different story: one of intentional design, made for people who truly live in their space. And like every good story, it starts from the ground up: in this case, with a floor that knows how to be a quiet protagonist.
